Make a ceramic tealight

Make a ceramic tealight

This video takes you through step by step how to make a pretty ceramic tealight with a slab of clay with patterns cut out of the sides. You can cut out any pattern, just remember that there needs to be enough clay left behind to hold itself up.

This is a great project for beginners to help get a feel for handling clay at different drying points.

For this project you will need clay, a rolling pin and pointed knife.

“What I loved about your classes from day one is your relaxed and casual yet thorough approach to teaching someone about working with clay. I think the very supportive and positive environment you’ve created in your classes is an important feature to highlight. I’ve (also) really appreciated your flexibility around the workings of your studio, particularly during the pandemic.”
