Scales and spikes

A small world held in the palm of your hand. Scales and Spikes is a tactile, nature-inspired ceramic sculpture: a mauve, lava-textured orb opened to reveal an intricate interior of porcelain scales and delicate spikes, glazed in oceanic blues and greens. It’s the kind of piece that instantly invites curiosity — you’ll find yourself turning it slowly, peering into the opening, discovering new details as the light catches the surfaces within.

The contrast is the story here: a rugged, protective outer shell against a fragile, finely built interior. Those porcelain spikes feel almost alive — a quiet reminder of how much complexity can exist beneath what we first see.
