White flower wall sculpture

Wall art with a beautiful, white flower beginning to bloom in its open shell.

A quiet moment of becoming, captured in clay. This one-of-a-kind wall sculpture features an opened stoneware “shell” revealing a luminous interior: a white flower just beginning to bloom at the centre. The contrast between the calm, satin-matt exterior and the rich, layered interior draws you in—inviting a closer look at the details, textures and subtle shifts of colour.
Inside the form, soft mocha diffusion and deep, organic markings lift the petals forward, giving the bloom a sense of depth and emergence. It’s a small but striking focal piece—designed to sit beautifully on the wall and reward slow looking.
Part of my Potential Inside collection, this sculpture celebrates the idea that all living things carry hidden potential beneath the surface—seed pods, creatures, and ourselves. It’s a meditation on duality: protection and openness, strength and fragility, the outer shell and the life unfolding within.
Materials & finish: Hand-built stoneware clays. Satin matt glaze to the exterior, with coloured slips and oxides to the interior.
