Zoom challenge clay classes
Zoom challenge clay classes for intermediate makers
Each 45 minute to an hour session covers a new topic to stretch and challenge participants to try something new or push further with a technique they are familiar with. The aim is to take you out of your comfort zone and get you trying new things within the security of a mutually supportive group and with a teacher on hand to help when needed.
Examples of topics covered in the last course are advanced building techniques, using two types of clay in one piece and clay sketching. During the zoom call I share lots of information and demonstrate a technique for you to try at home during the week. There’s then a WhatsApp group where everyone shares how they get on, what they enjoyed, what they struggled with and any other insights they would like to share. The 10 weekly sessions are recorded and shared with all the participants so you can catch up on any missed weeks with ease.
These are at 7pm on Tuesday evenings and they’ll start from the 26th April. The zoom classes proved a great success last term and I had great fun teaching them.
“What I loved about your classes from day one is your relaxed and casual yet thorough approach to teaching someone about working with clay. I think the very supportive and positive environment you’ve created in your classes is an important feature to highlight. I’ve (also) really appreciated your flexibility around the workings of your studio, particularly during the pandemic.”
