Creative Mentoring
One-to-one support for emerging makers and artists finding their way
Sometimes you need more than just time in the studio – you need a sounding board, someone to help you untangle ideas, keep you moving forward, and remind you that you can do this.
That’s what my Creative Mentoring is for.
It’s tailored 1:1 support for emerging makers, recent graduates, or anyone who’s ready to take their practice to the next stage. Whether that means building your confidence, finding your creative voice, working towards an exhibition, or refining your work for commissions or sales, I’ll be right there alongside you.
I only work with a small number of mentees (maximum six each year), both in person at my Cambridgeshire studio and online. This way, you get my full attention and a mentoring experience that’s shaped entirely around your goals.
How it works:
- One 30-minute 1:1 call per month via Zoom (or in person if local)
- Feedback on your current work, ideas, or questions
- Private support between sessions via email or a dedicated channel
- Creative resources and exercises chosen just for you
- Access to all the standard membership learning resources
Mentoring is a gentle but focused space. We’ll celebrate the wins, work through the challenges, and explore your practice from fresh angles. I’m not here to hand you a fixed plan – we’ll co-create the path as we go, adjusting when life, work, or creativity take unexpected turns.
It’s for you if:
- You’re exploring your own voice and want to feel clearer about it
- You’re preparing for exhibitions, commissions, or selling your work
- You’ve hit a creative block and need a fresh perspective
- You want a trusted mentor to help you navigate the next steps
And it’s not:
- A step-by-step technical course (though we might talk techniques)
- A strict business programme (though we can cover planning and strategy)
- A one-size-fits-all curriculum
If you’re ready for personal, consistent, and encouraging support. I’d love to talk about working together.
