Friendly, welcoming, and full of possibility – the studio is built on a belief that creativity grows best when it’s shared
Step inside my light-filled Cambridgeshire studio and you’ll find a space designed for creativity. A big shopfront window lets the daylight pour in, while colourful chairs and big purpose-built tables make it easy to spread out and get hands-on. Around the edges, shelves brim with tools, materials, and inspiration. Out back, the kiln room quietly hums with three hardworking kilns, and there’s a small kitchen for coffee, tea, or a snack between making.
Whether you join us on a lively workshop day or in a quieter membership session, the atmosphere is always the same – friendly, welcoming, and supportive. Some days it’s full of chatter, others it’s a gentle hum of concentration, but it’s always a space where everyone is free to explore their own ideas.
You’ll have access to everything you need to bring your ideas to life – over 140 colours of brush-on glaze, an extruder, small slab roller, and a wide range of modeling tools. We work with stoneware clays and use hand-building techniques, though there’s also a wheel if members want to experiment.
Our Ethos
The studio runs on a few simple principles:
- Make what you want to make – I’m here to help you realise your ideas, not give everyone the same project.
- Be kind and supportive – We share tips, encouragement, and celebrate each other’s wins.
- Try new things and push boundaries – Mistakes are just more learning.
- Everyone works differently – And that’s a good thing.
Every person who walks through the door brings something unique, and I believe creativity grows best when it’s nurtured in an open, encouraging environment. Hetti, my one-eyed French Bulldog sometimes pops in too – she’s excellent at making guests feel welcome.
This is a space for making, learning, and enjoying the process – whether you’re here for a one-off workshop, weekly studio time, or simply to connect with others who love clay as much as you do.
